About
I started in account management — learning how clients think, what they actually need, and why most creative misses the mark. While wearing multiple hats and thinking big picture wasn't the traditional ad-school path when I began, it has become a core strength as the way teams work and create has evolved.
After five years on the account side, I crossed to creative and spent nine years rising through the ranks at Leo Burnett, Energy BBDO, and FCB — leading work for some of the most demanding brands in the country. Most recently I led brand creative at Vosges Haut-Chocolat, building their visual world, producing three product launches, and making most of the work you'll see in this portfolio.
Now I run Trazo Studios independently. The studio exists to bring that same rigor, craft, and senior-level thinking directly to brands that need it — without the agency overhead, timeline, or price tag.
Both sides of the table. Now independent.
The craft
Storytelling — visual and beyond — is my craft. For brands, I build stories grounded in insight and elevated with intention and craftsmanship. I'm drawn to the human truths that resonate with real life and create connection, then extend that narrative across every touchpoint to form a cohesive, crafted brand experience.
Throughout my career I've touched every facet of 360 campaigns: film, print, signage, social, activations, brand guidelines, and photo libraries — across film/live action, animation, CGI, stop motion, conceptual photography, product photography, food-focused content, and experiential activations.
Recognition
Work recognized at Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, ADC, and Clios across CPG, spirits, food & beverage, and social impact.
Outside of work
Usually found chasing after a toddler, relearning life skills like "putting on a shirt," googling how to fix household things (currently: a screen door), attempting to meditate, spoiling a blind cat named Empanada, and exploring the food and culture of Chicago.
Areas of Expertise
Translating strategy into visual ideas that are both beautiful and purposeful. Every frame, every layout, every detail — considered.
Grounding creative in the insight that makes it work. Understanding what your audience needs to believe, and building the story that gets them there.
Finding the single idea that can anchor a campaign across every medium — and knowing how to push it until it's truly ownable.
Deep relationships with directors, photographers, animators, food stylists, and producers. The network to execute at any scale. I don't mark up vendor costs.
Leading cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and keeping complex projects on-brief and on-brand from kickoff to delivery.
Building the photo libraries, brand guidelines, and asset systems that let your team stay consistent without constant creative oversight.
